| AN ACT |

1 | Amending the act of July 9, 1990 (P.L.340, No.78), entitled "An |
2 | act providing for a Statewide emergency telephone number 911 |
3 | system; providing for contributions from telephone |
4 | subscribers; providing a penalty; and making a repeal," |
5 | further providing for the Wireless E-911 Emergency Services |
6 | Fund. |
7 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
8 | hereby enacts as follows: |
9 | Section 1. Section 11.4(h) of the act of July 9, 1990 (P.L. |
10 | 340, No.78), known as the Public Safety Emergency Telephone Act, |
11 | added December 30, 2003 (P.L.384, No.56), is amended to read: |
12 | Section 11.4. Wireless E-911 Emergency Services Fund. |
13 | * * * |
14 | (h) Surcharge sunset.--The wireless E-911 surcharge fee |
15 | established in subsection (b) shall terminate on June 30, [2009] |
16 | 2014, unless extended by an act of the General Assembly. |
17 | Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. |
