AN ACT

  

1

Designating the bridge on U.S. Route 6 over Potato Creek at

2

Smethport, McKean County, as the POW/MIA Memorial Bridge;

3

designating State Route 120 in the Borough of Emporium as

4

General Joseph T. McNarney Memorial Boulevard; and

designating the bridge on U.S. Route 6 over Allegheny River

at Liberty Township, McKean County, as the Lt. Colonel

7

Richard J. Berrettini Memorial Bridge; designating the Main

Street Bridge carrying U.S. Route 6 at Segment 260, offset

9

0711, over the Allegheny River in Coudersport Borough, Potter

10

County, as the Potter County World War II Veterans Memorial

11

Bridge; and designating the Gay Street Bridge on State Route

12

113, which crosses French Creek in the Borough of

13

Phoenixville, Chester County, as the Veterans Memorial Gay

14

Street Bridge.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

16

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  POW/MIA Memorial Bridge.

(a)  Designation.--The bridge on U.S. Route 6 over Potato

19

Creek in the Borough of Smethport, McKean County, beginning at

20

Segment 0780, offset 0000, is hereby designated as the POW/MIA

Memorial Bridge.

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

3

maintain appropriate signs at each end of the bridge displaying

4

the name of the bridge.

Section 2.  General Joseph T. McNarney Memorial Boulevard.

(a)  Designation.--The section of State Route 120 through the

7

Borough of Emporium, Cameron County, beginning at State Route

8

120, Segment 0220, offset 08882 to State Route 120, Segment

9

0260, offset 0585 for a total length of 7,375 feet or 1.4 miles

10

is hereby designated as the General Joseph T. McNarney Memorial 

11

Boulevard.

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

13

maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under

14

subsection (a) in both directions.

Section 3.  Lt. Colonel Richard J. Berrettini Memorial Bridge.

(a)  Designation.--The bridge on U.S. Route 6 over Allegheny

17

River in Liberty Township, McKean County, is hereby designated

18

as the Lt. Colonel Richard J. Berrettini Memorial Bridge.

19

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

20

maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under

21

subsection (a) in both directions.

Section 4. Potter County World War II Veterans Memorial Bridge.

(a)  Designation.--The Main Street Bridge carrying U.S. Route

24

6 at Segment 260, offset 0711, over the Allegheny River in

25

Coudersport Borough, Potter County, is hereby designated the

26

Potter County World War II Veterans Memorial Bridge.

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

28

maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under

29

subsection (a) in both directions.

Section 5.  Veterans Memorial Gay Street Bridge.

(a)  Designation.--The Gay Street Bridge, which crosses

French Creek on State Route 113 in Phoenixville Borough, Chester

3

County, is hereby designated as the Veterans Memorial Gay Street

4

Bridge.

(b)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

6

maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under

7

subsection (a) in both directions.

Section 4 6.  Effective date.

This act shall take effect in 60 days.
