AN ACT

Amending the act of October 30, 1987 (P.L.375, No.75), entitled,

"An act providing for the designation of certain trees and

land on the grounds of the State Capitol in Harrisburg as

'Soldiers' Grove' in honor of war veterans; imposing duties

upon the Department of General Services; and making an

appropriation," providing for the placement of a certain

monument in Soldiers' Grove.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1.  Section 2 of the act of October 30, 1987 (P.L.

375, No.75), entitled, "An act providing for the designation of

certain trees and land on the grounds of the State Capitol in

Harrisburg as 'Soldiers' Grove' in honor of war veterans;

imposing duties upon the Department of General Services; and

making an appropriation," is amended by adding a subsection to

read:

Section 2.  Duties of Department of General Services.

(d)  Purple Heart monument.--The department shall arrange for

the placement of a donated Military Order of the Purple Heart

monument on the grounds of "Soldiers' Grove."

Section 2.  This act shall take effect immediately.
