                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the highway capital budget project itemization for
     2     the fiscal year 2008-2009.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5                             CHAPTER 1
     6                         GENERAL PROVISIONS
     7  Section 101.  Short title.
     8     This act shall be known and may be cited as the Highway
     9  Capital Budget Project Itemization Act of 2008-2009.
    10  Section 102.  Total authorization.
    11     The total authorization for the capital projects itemized in
    12  Chapter 3 and to be constructed by the Department of
    13  Transportation, its successors or assigns and to be financed
    14  from current revenues of the Motor License Fund shall be
    15  $0,000,000,000.
    16  Section 103.  Itemization of public highway projects.
    17     Additional capital projects in the category of public highway


     1  projects to be constructed by the Department of Transportation,
     2  its successors or assigns and to be financed from current
     3  revenues of the Motor License Fund are itemized in Chapter 3,
     4  together with their respective estimated financial costs.

    28                      MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
    29  Section 701.  Federal funds.
    30     All moneys received from the Federal Government for the

     1  construction of the projects specifically itemized in this act
     2  are also hereby appropriated for those projects.
     3  Section 702.  Allocation of funds.
     4     Whenever as determined by the Department of Transportation
     5  that the full estimated financial costs of the projects itemized
     6  in this act are not necessary for the proper design, acquisition
     7  or construction of such projects, the excess funds no longer
     8  required may be allocated by the Department of Transportation to
     9  increase the estimated costs of any one or more of the projects
    10  specifically itemized in a capital budget.
    11  Section 703.  Estimated useful life.
    12     The General Assembly states that the estimated useful life of
    13  the highway capital projects itemized in this act is 30 years.
    14  Section 704.  Effective date.
    15     This act shall take effect immediately.
