AN ACT 1 Designating a portion of State Route 850 in Marysville Borough, 2 Perry County, as the Army Private David E. Dietrich Memorial 3 Highway. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Army Private David E. Dietrich Memorial Highway. 7 (a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as 8 follows: 9 (1) David E. Dietrich was born January 14, 1985. He 10 graduated from Susquenita High School, Perry County, in 2004. 11 He was active in Boy Scouts of America, Troop 56, and the 12 Marysville Fire Company. 13 (2) Private Dietrich enlisted in the United States Army 14 in March 2006, graduated from the United States Army Training 15 Center at Fort Knox, Kentucky, on July 20, 2006, and a short 16 time later was deployed to Iraq. 17 (3) Private Dietrich served with distinction in F Troop, 18 1st Cavalry Regiment, 1st Bridge Combat Team, 1st Armored
1 Division until December 29, 2006, when he was fatally wounded 2 when his combat patrol unit came under attack by small arms 3 fire from enemy forces in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. 4 (b) Designation.--State Route 850 throughout Marysville 5 Borough, Perry County, is hereby designated as the Army Private 6 David E. Dietrich Memorial Highway. 7 (c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and 8 maintain appropriate signs to indicate the designation under 9 subsection (b). 10 Section 2.
