AN ACT
1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for license fee for deployed
3 Pennsylvania National Guard members and for resident license
4 and fee exemptions.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Sections 2707.1(a) and 2707.2(a) of Title 30 of
8 the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read:
9 § 2707.1. Deployed Pennsylvania National Guard members.
10 (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall
11 issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any
12 person eligible under section 2701 (relating to resident fishing
13 licenses) for the license who provides documentation that within
14 the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas as a
15 member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard or Air National
16 Guard on active Federal service for a period of [180] 120
17 consecutive days or more or was released early from such service
1 because of an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty.
2 Only one Pennsylvania National Guard fishing license under this
3 section may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person
4 applying for the license.

6 § 2707.2. Reserve component of armed forces members.
7 (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall
8 issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any
9 person eligible for the license under section 2701 (relating to
10 resident fishing licenses) who provides documentation that
11 within the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas
12 as a member of the reserve component of the armed forces
13 pursuant to 51 Pa.C.S. § 7301 (relating to definitions) for a
14 period of [180] 120 consecutive days or more or was released
15 early from service because of an injury or disease incurred in
16 the line of duty. Only one fishing license under this section
17 may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person
18 applying for the license.
