                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of March 7, 1901 (P.L.20, No.14), entitled "An
     2     act for the government of cities of the second class,"
     3     providing for publication of fiscal audits and for contracts
     4     of employment with city managers and finance directors.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Article VIII of the act of March 7, 1901 (P.L.20,
     8  No.14), referred to as the Second Class City Law, is amended by
     9  adding a section to read:
    10     Section 2.  A city of the second class, and, notwithstanding
    11  the act of June 25, 1895 (P.L.275, No.188), referred to as the
    12  City Classification Law, a city of the second class A which has
    13  an Internet website shall post all fiscal audits on the Internet
    14  website.
    15     Section 2.  Article XII of the act is amended by adding a
    16  section to read:
    17     Section 4.  A city of the second class, and, notwithstanding
    18  the act of June 25, 1895 (P.L.275, No.188), referred to as the


     1  City Classification Law, a city of the second class A which
     2  employs a city manager, a finance director or similar officer
     3  must employ the manager, finance director or similar officer
     4  pursuant to a written contract. An employment contract under
     5  this section must be for a period that is not less than two
     6  years.
     7     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
