AN ACT
1 Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for a penalty.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 714 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
6 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
7 § 714. Penalty.
8 Any member of any agency who participates in a meeting with
9 the intent and purpose by that member of violating this chapter
10 commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be
11 sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding [$100] $1,000 plus costs
12 of prosecution PROSECUTION[.] for a first offense and a fine not <--
13 exceeding $2,000 plus costs of prosecution for a second or
14 subsequent offense. OFFENSE. AN AGENCY SHALL NOT MAKE A PAYMENT <--
15 ON BEHALF OF OR REIMBURSE A MEMBER OF AN AGENCY FOR A FINE OR
16 COST RESULTING FROM THE MEMBER'S VIOLATION OF THIS SECTION.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
