AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for general requirements for
3 school buses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4552(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4552. General requirements for school buses.

10 (d) Seating.--
11 (1) Adequate seating space of safe design and
12 construction shall be provided for each passenger and no
13 passenger shall be carried for which adequate seating space
14 is not available and used.
15 (2) The seats on each bus shall be equipped with or be
16 fitted with retractable seat belts. No passenger shall be
17 carried for whom a seat belt is not available. Each passenger
18 shall use a seat belt when the bus is in motion.
