AN ACT
1 Amending Title 74 (Transportation) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for liability of
3 metropolitan transit authorities.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 74 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1784.1. Liability.
9 Notwithstanding any provision of the law to the contrary, an
10 authority shall be liable for profits lost by and relocation
11 costs of a business operated for profit that are caused by a
12 project in the metropolitan area undertaken by the authority,
13 its agents, contractors or employees.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
