A RESOLUTION 1 Recognizing the Community Partners Center for Health and Human 2 Services as the first nonprofit center in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, In October 2001, the North Penn Community Health 4 Foundation was established with the mission to identify and 5 invest in programs and agencies that will improve the health, 6 welfare and quality of life of its community; and 7 WHEREAS, The foundation established the Community Partners 8 Center for Health and Human Services as the first nonprofit 9 center in Pennsylvania which provides professional office space 10 for nonprofit agencies that provide health and human services to 11 local residents; and 12 WHEREAS, The building meets the platinum rating standard for 13 "green buildings" defined by the Leadership in Energy and 14 Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System; and 15 WHEREAS, Through the use of green technologies, the
1 foundation has created an efficient space where tenants and 2 other community nonprofits are encouraged to work together to 3 provide high-quality programs and services in a cost-effective 4 manner; and 5 WHEREAS, The Community Partners Center for Health and Human 6 Services provides a comfortable, safe working environment that 7 fosters collaboration among local nonprofit organizations that 8 offer services in an environment that is respectful of the 9 individuals served; therefore be it 10 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives join the North 11 Penn Community Health Foundation in recognizing the Community 12 Partners Center for Health and Human Services as the first 13 nonprofit center in Pennsylvania.
