A RESOLUTION 1 Designating the month of April 2008 as "Grange Month" in 2 Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange is a leader in 4 agriculture and community and family affairs; and 5 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange provides the 6 opportunity for individual expression and personal growth and 7 promotes grass-roots involvement in the legislative process; and 8 WHEREAS, Pennsylvanians take great pride in our rich 9 agricultural heritage; and 10 WHEREAS, Our international reputation for quality
1 agricultural products has been earned through generations of 2 hard work and dedication by farm families; and 3 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has fulfilled its 4 creed of people, pride and progress since 1873; and 5 WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has remained dedicated 6 to improving farming and rural life for all Pennsylvanians 7 through initiatives in agriculture, education, transportation, 8 tax reform, rural development and health care; and 9 WHEREAS, Committed to honest labor and willing service, the 10 Pennsylvania State Grange has helped to sustain the quality of 11 life of rural Pennsylvanians; therefore be it 12 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the 13 month of April 2008 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania in 14 recognition of the Pennsylvania State Grange and its dedication 15 to personal growth, service to others and the strengthening of 16 families and communities and encourage all citizens to 17 acknowledge and applaud the achievements of the Pennsylvania 18 State Grange.
