INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,

A RESOLUTION
1 Designating May 11 through 17, 2008, as "National Nursing Home
2 Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Skilled nursing facilities throughout the nation are
4 observing "National Nursing Home Week"; and
5 WHEREAS, The dedicated professionals who work in nursing
6 homes provide critical services in the continuum of long-term
7 care for many citizens of this Commonwealth; and
8 WHEREAS, It is appropriate that Commonwealth nursing homes
9 join the nation in observing "National Nursing Home Week";
10 therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate May 11
1 through 17, 2008, as "National Nursing Home Week" in
2 Pennsylvania and urge all citizens to join in recognizing the
3 significant contributions of nursing facilities and caregivers
4 in this Commonwealth and beyond.
