        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           FEBRUARY 14, 2008

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Honoring Chick Dillen upon his retirement as editor of "Ward-
     2     Wide News," a publication which he edited for more than 50
     3     years.

     4     WHEREAS, The first issue of "Ward-Wide News" came off the
     5  press in October 1952; and
     6     WHEREAS, Mr. Dillen has been the editor of this publication
     7  from that issue until January 2008; and
     8     WHEREAS, Mr. Dillen is retiring and turning over the reins of
     9  the "Ward-Wide News" to a younger generation; and
    10     WHEREAS, The "Ward-Wide News" provides business associates
    11  and customers with news about the Ward Trucking business and
    12  about the trucking industry generally, an industry which figures
    13  largely in the economy of this Commonwealth; therefore be it
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Chick


     1  Dillen upon his retirement as editor of "Ward-Wide News," a
     2  publication which he edited for more than 50 years.
