A RESOLUTION 1 Designating November 8, 2007, as "75th Anniversary of Baptist 2 Bible College & Seminary Day" in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, Baptist Bible College & Seminary in Clarks Summit, 4 Lackawanna County, prepares students for Christian ministry 5 careers with an independent Baptist affiliation; and 6 WHEREAS, Founded in 1932 in Johnson City, New York, Baptist 7 Bible College & Seminary moved in 1968 to its 121-acre Clarks 8 Summit campus; and 9 WHEREAS, Baptist Bible College & Seminary offers 10 undergraduate, graduate and seminary studies, with a total 11 enrollment of 1,134 students; and 12 WHEREAS, Men and women from this Commonwealth comprise 42% of 13 admissions; and 14 WHEREAS, Campus operations involve 300 vendors from this
1 Commonwealth; and 2 WHEREAS, Each year more than 4,000 visitors participate in 3 special summer programs; and 4 WHEREAS, "Celebrating God's Faithfulness" is the theme of the 5 75th anniversary celebration; therefore be it 6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives, with respect for 7 Baptist Bible's leadership cultivation and community outreach, 8 designate November 8, 2007, as "75th Anniversary of Baptist 9 Bible College & Seminary Day" in Pennsylvania.
