A RESOLUTION
1 Urging the Federal Emergency Management Agency to review and
2 update state, county and municipal flood maps every ten
3 years.
4 WHEREAS, Flood maps help states, counties and municipalities
5 monitor water levels of rivers, streams, creeks and other
6 natural bodies of water; and
7 WHEREAS, Flood maps help states, counties and municipalities
8 prepare for flood disasters; and
9 WHEREAS, Flood maps help states, counties and municipalities
10 during flood disasters; therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
12 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania urge the Federal Emergency
13 Management Agency to review and update state, county and local
14 flood maps every ten years.
