        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           SEPTEMBER 26, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Commending the Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania for its
     2     educational efforts, and recognizing the month of September
     3     as "Vertebral Subluxation Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.

     4     WHEREAS, Optimum performance and health of the human body
     5  depends on the unfettered, free transmission of mental impulses,
     6  or nerve impulses, between the brain and all cells, tissues and
     7  organs; and
     8     WHEREAS, The flow of mental impulses between the brain and
     9  the body passes through the vertebrae of the spinal column; and
    10     WHEREAS, Blockages of mental impulses, called vertebral
    11  subluxations occur when a vertebra misaligns, occludes an
    12  opening, impinges on a nerve or otherwise interferes with
    13  neurotransmission; and
    14     WHEREAS, A vertebral subluxation can occur regardless of the


     1  presence or absence of symptoms; and
     2     WHEREAS, Doctors of chiropractic are the licensed
     3  professionals uniquely trained to locate, analyze and correct
     4  vertebral subluxations that compromise a person's health and
     5  well-being; therefore be it
     6     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commend the
     7  Chiropractic Fellowship of Pennsylvania for its efforts in
     8  educating the public about the importance of having spinal
     9  checks for vertebral subluxations; and be it further
    10     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
    11  month of September as "Vertebral Subluxation Awareness Month" in
    12  Pennsylvania.
