        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           APRIL 16, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Honoring the life and extending condolences for the supreme
     2     sacrifice of Private Matthew Bowe, United States Army medic,
     3     who tragically lost his life in service to our country in
     4     Iraq on February 19, 2007.

     5     WHEREAS, Private Bowe, a resident of Moon Township, Allegheny
     6  County, graduated from Moon Area High School in 2005; and
     7     WHEREAS, Private Bowe enlisted in the United States Army on
     8  July 5, 2005, and was deployed as a medic to Iraq in October
     9  2006; and
    10     WHEREAS, Private Bowe made the supreme sacrifice on February


     1  19, 2007, when he was killed in a firefight about 30 miles north
     2  of Baghdad, Iraq; and
     3     WHEREAS, Private Bowe is survived by his parents, Mr. and
     4  Mrs. John Bowe, Sr., five siblings and a grandfather; therefore
     5  be it
     6     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
     7  and extend condolences for the supreme sacrifice of Private
     8  Matthew Bowe, United States Army medic, who tragically lost his
     9  life in service to our country in Iraq, on February 19, 2007;
    10  and be it further
    11     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
    12  Mr. and Mrs. John Bowe, Sr., 214 Juniper Drive, Moon PA 15108.
