A RESOLUTION 1 Designating the week of September 17 through 21, 2007, as 2 "Common Sense and Respect Week" in Pennsylvania and 3 especially in our schools. 4 WHEREAS, With the beginning of another academic year in late 5 summer of 2007 comes a new opportunity to forge student-teacher 6 and student-student interaction in school settings; and 7 WHEREAS, In addition to their positive academic impact, these 8 interactions have a positive impact on the social development 9 and maturation of students when based on common sense and 10 respect; and 11 WHEREAS, Because common sense and respect are essential 12 ingredients in an academic setting, it is fitting that schools, 13 teachers, students and parents be reminded of their importance; 14 therefore be it
