                                     AN ACT

     1  Prohibiting limitations on the wearing of official military
     2     uniforms on school property; and imposing a penalty.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Military uniforms and visitations on school
     6                 property.
     7     (a)  General rule.--The board of school directors, school
     8  superintendent, chief administrator or principal of any public
     9  school shall not impose any restrictions or prohibitions on:
    10         (1)  The wearing of official military uniforms authorized
    11     by the Federal Government by members of the active and
    12     retired armed services, their reserve components or the
    13     National Guard while on school district property.
    14         (2)  The visiting or meeting with a school district


     1     employee or student by any member of the active or retired
     2     armed services, their reserve components or the National
     3     Guard when such member is in compliance with the school
     4     district's visitor policy.
     5     (b)  Penalty.--A person who violates this section commits a
     6  summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay
     7  a fine of $500. Each occurrence in violation of this section
     8  shall constitute a separate offense.
     9  Section 2.  Effective date.
    10     This act shall take effect immediately.
