AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
3 recklessly endangering another person.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 2705 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 2705. Recklessly endangering another person.
9 A person commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if [he
10 recklessly] the person:
11 (1) Recklessly engages in conduct which places or may
12 place another person in danger of death or serious bodily
13 injury.
14 (2) Is:
15 (i) an operator of a motor vehicle who knowingly
16 maneuvers the vehicle to intimidate or harass a
17 pedestrian or pedalcyclist; or
18 (ii) an operator or occupant of a motor vehicle who
1 knowingly directs threatening gestures or language at a
2 pedestrian or pedalcyclist on a highway.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
