                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the offense of
     3     sale or transfer of firearms.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 6111(g)(4) of Title 18 of the
     7  Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 6111.  Sale or transfer of firearms.
     9     * * *
    10     (g)  Penalties.--
    11         * * *
    12         (4)  Any person, purchaser or transferee [who] commits a
    13     felony of the third degree if, in connection with the
    14     purchase, delivery or transfer of a firearm under this
    15     chapter, he knowingly and intentionally:
    16             (i)   makes any materially false oral [or written


     1         statement or] statement;
     2             (ii)  makes any materially false written statement,
     3         including a statement on any form promulgated by Federal
     4         or State agencies; or
     5             (iii)  willfully furnishes or exhibits any false
     6         identification intended or likely to deceive the seller,
     7         licensed dealer or licensed manufacturer [commits a
     8         felony of the third degree].

    10     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
