AN ACT 1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, in fishing licenses, further providing for deployed 3 Pennsylvania National Guard members and for reserve component 4 of armed forces members. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Sections 2707.1(a) and 2707.2(a) of Title 30 of 8 the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes are amended to read: 9 § 2707.1. Deployed Pennsylvania National Guard members. 10 (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall 11 issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any 12 person eligible under section 2701 (relating to resident fishing 13 licenses) for the license who provides documentation that within 14 the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas as a 15 member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard or Air National
1 Guard on active Federal service for a period of [180] 60 2 consecutive days or more or was released early from such service 3 because of an injury or disease incurred in the line of duty. 4 Only one Pennsylvania National Guard fishing license under this 5 section may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person 6 applying for the license. 7 * * * 8 § 2707.2. Reserve component of armed forces members. 9 (a) Eligibility.--The commission or a county treasurer shall 10 issue one annual resident fishing license at a cost of $1 to any 11 person eligible for the license under section 2701 (relating to 12 resident fishing licenses) who provides documentation that 13 within the previous 24 months the person was deployed overseas 14 as a member of the reserve component of the armed forces 15 pursuant to 51 Pa.C.S. § 7301 (relating to definitions) for a 16 period of [180] 60 consecutive days or more or was released 17 early from service because of an injury or disease incurred in 18 the line of duty. Only one fishing license under this section 19 may be issued for each qualifying deployment of a person 20 applying for the license. 21 * * * 22 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
