AN ACT 1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, requiring the Department of Transportation to 3 establish, advertise and maintain a toll-free hotline for 4 motorists to report incidents of aggressive driving. 5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 6 hereby enacts as follows: 7 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 8 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read: 9 § 6118. Toll-free hotline to report aggressive driving. 10 (a) General rule.--The department shall establish, advertise 11 and maintain a toll-free hotline for motorists to report 12 observations of aggressive driving and to request assistance. 13 (b) Cooperation.--The Pennsylvania State Police and local 14 law enforcement officers shall cooperate with the department to 15 receive information obtained by the department from the toll- 16 free hotline and to provide assistance to motorists who make the 17 reports. 18 (c) Construction.--Nothing in this section shall be
1 construed to require that a complaint of aggressive driving made 2 to the hotline shall lead to an investigation of a violation of 3 this title. 4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. H22L75BIL/20070H1882B2579 - 2 -
