AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 23, 1931 (P.L.932, No.317), entitled
2 "An act relating to cities of the third class; and amending,
3 revising, and consolidating the law relating thereto,"
4 further providing, in provisions relating to pensions, for
5 definitions.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 4309 of the act of June 23, 1931
9 (P.L.932, No.317), known as The Third Class City Code, reenacted
10 and amended June 28, 1951 (P.L.662, No.164) and added December
11 17, 1990 (P.L.715, No.178), is amended to read:
12 Section 4309. Definitions.--[As used in this subdivision,
13 the term "salary" is defined as the] The following words and
14 terms, as used in this subdivision, shall have the meanings
15 herein assigned to them, unless the context clearly indicates
16 otherwise:
17 "Salary," the fixed amount of compensation paid at regular,
18 periodic intervals by the city to the member and from which
1 pension contributions have been deducted.
2 "Pay," "monthly pay," "annual pay" or "annual compensation,"
3 the amount actually paid to a service member for services
4 rendered or benefits earned during the specified period.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
