                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, imposing sanctions and penalties on
     3     employers who engage in the unlawful employment of aliens.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 7331.  Unlawful employment of aliens.
     9     (a)  Prohibition.--An employer who is found by a court or
    10  administrative agency to have violated section 274A of the
    11  Immigration and Nationality Act (66 Stat. 163, 8 U.S.C. § 1324a)
    12  shall be subject to the suspension or revocation of its business
    13  or professional license by the applicable licensing authority in
    14  addition to a fine as provided for in subsection (b).
    15     (b)  Penalty.--Any employer who violates subsection (a) shall


     1  be sentenced or ordered to pay a civil fine in the amount of
     2  $5,000.
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
