                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for special registration plates for
     3     retired State troopers.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 1366.  Special plates for retired State troopers.
     9     Upon application of any person who is a retired trooper of
    10  the Pennsylvania State Police, the department shall issue to
    11  such person a special registration plate designating the vehicle
    12  so registered as belonging to a person who is a retired trooper.
    13  The plate design shall incorporate the colors of the
    14  Pennsylvania State Police uniform: gray, black and gold. Across
    15  the top of the plate shall be inscribed Pennsylvania. Across the
    16  bottom of the plate shall be inscribed Retired State Trooper. To


     1  the left of the plate number shall be inscribed the insignia of
     2  the Pennsylvania State Police, inset into a figure representing
     3  the physical shape of Pennsylvania. The special registration
     4  plate may be used only on a passenger car or truck with a
     5  registered gross weight of not more than 10,000 pounds.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
