                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of June 25, 1919 (P.L.581, No.274), entitled
     2     "An act for the better government of cities of the first
     3     class of this Commonwealth," further providing for penalty
     4     for false personification.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 5 of Article V of the act of June 25,
     8  1919 (P.L.581, No.274), referred to as the First Class City
     9  Government Law, is amended to read:
    10     Section 5.  The department shall make suitable regulations
    11  under which the officers and members of the fire and police
    12  forces shall be required to wear appropriate uniforms. [It shall
    13  be a misdemeanor, punishable by fine not exceeding five hundred
    14  dollars, or imprisonment not exceeding six months, or both, in
    15  the discretion of the court, for any person falsely to
    16  personate, by uniform, insignia, or otherwise, any officer or


     1  member of the department.]
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
