AN ACT
1 Designating SR 65 in the vicinity of Leetsdale, Allegheny
2 County, as the James E. Russo Highway.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. James E. Russo Highway.
6 (a) Declaration of policy.--The General Assembly finds and
7 declares that:
8 (1) James E. Russo served as an Allegheny County
9 district justice for 29 years.
10 (2) Judge Russo graduated cum laude from St. John's <--
11 University and received his J.D. from Columbus School of Law,
12 Catholic University of America. He was appointed Judge of the
13 Commonwealth Court of Municipal Discipline in 1998.
14 (2) JUDGE RUSSO WAS APPOINTED AS THE FIRST DISTRICT <--
15 JUSTICE TO SERVE ON THE FORMER JUDICIAL CONDUCT BOARD,
16 PREDECESSOR TO THE COURT OF JUDICIAL DISCIPLINE OF
1 PENNSYLVANIA, IN 1998.
2 (b) Designation.--State Route 65 in the vicinity of
3 Leetsdale, Allegheny County, shall be designated as the James E.
4 Russo Highway in honor of the late James E. Russo.
5 (c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
6 maintain signs which shall display the name of the highway
7 designated in subsection (b) at each end of the designated
8 segment.
9 Section 2. Effective date.
10 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
