AN ACT
1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for creditable nonschool service;
3 and making a repeal.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8304(b) of Title 24 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
8 § 8304. Creditable nonschool service.

10 (b) Limitations on nonschool service.--Creditable nonschool
11 service credit shall be limited to:

13 (9) Previous service, not to exceed four years, as an
14 elected county official of any county in this Commonwealth
15 pursuant to a valid leave of absence as provided in section
16 1182 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known as
17 the Public School Code of 1949.

1 Section 2. Section 1182 of the act of March 10, 1949
2 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
3 repealed insofar as it is inconsistent with the addition of 24
4 Pa.C.S. § 8304(b)(9).
5 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
