        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           JULY 3, 2005

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Paying tribute to and honoring the memory of Specialist Robert
     2     E. Hall, Jr., a member of the Army Reserve's 467th Engineer
     3     Battalion, who tragically lost his life on June 28, 2005,
     4     while on active duty in Iraq.

     5     WHEREAS, Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr., was a resident of
     6  Allegheny County and served in the Army Reserve's 467th Engineer
     7  Battalion out of Greenwood, Mississippi; and
     8     WHEREAS, Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr., graduated from North
     9  Hills High School in 1993 and enlisted in the United States Army
    10  Reserve in 1997, where he was released after honorably
    11  completing his tour of duty; and
    12     WHEREAS, On September 11, 2004, Specialist Robert E. Hall,
    13  Jr., was activated for a tour of duty in Iraq as a member of the
    14  United States Army Reserve's 467th Engineer Battalion and
    15  deployed to Iraq on January 1, 2005; and


     1     WHEREAS, Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr., had been in Iraq
     2  less than seven months when he was tragically killed as a result
     3  of an explosion caused by a car bomb while guarding the gate to
     4  the 467th Engineer Battalion's base in Ad Dujayl; and
     5     WHEREAS, Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr., was 30 years of age
     6  and is survived by his wife, Tracie Hall; a three-year-old
     7  daughter, Rachael; his mother, Mildred E. Beachem and her
     8  husband, James; a brother, Stephen Hall; and two sisters, Tara
     9  Seamon and Lori Unver; therefore be it
    10     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives pay tribute to
    11  and honor the memory of Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr., with
    12  gratitude for his courage, leadership and selflessness in his
    13  fight for freedom on behalf of the citizens of our nation and of
    14  this Commonwealth; and be it further
    15     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives extend its
    16  deepest condolences to Specialist Robert E. Hall, Jr.'s family
    17  and friends.
