        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           JULY 1, 2005

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating July 1, 2005, as "Retired Veterans Day" in the
     2     Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

     3     WHEREAS, The retired veterans of the United States Armed
     4  Forces have answered the call to duty by selflessly serving the
     5  people of this Commonwealth and the United States with
     6  dedication and honor; and
     7     WHEREAS, The Commonwealth and its citizens owe a debt of
     8  gratitude to retired veterans for their sacrifices in
     9  safeguarding our country; therefore be it
    10     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate July 1,
    11  2005, as "Retired Veterans Day" in the Commonwealth of
    12  Pennsylvania.
