AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Academy of Natural Sciences for
2 maintenance expenses.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $428,000 $471,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia,
7 for the fiscal year July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, for the
8 purpose of maintenance of the academy.
9 Section 2. Payments to the Academy of Natural Sciences on
10 account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made
11 quarterly by the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania
12 Historical and Museum Commission.
13 Section 3. The Academy of Natural Sciences shall provide
14 full, complete and accurate information as may be required by
15 the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or the
16 chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
1 Committee of the Senate or the chairman or the minority chairman
2 of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
3 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006, or
4 immediately, whichever is later.
