AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Trustees of the Berean Training and
2 Industrial School at Philadelphia for operation and
3 maintenance expenses and for payment of debt service. <--
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. (a) The sum of $1,453,000 THE SUM OF $1,497,000 <--
7 is hereby appropriated to the Trustees of the Berean Training
8 and Industrial School at Philadelphia for the fiscal year July
9 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, for operation and maintenance of the
10 school.
11 (b) The sum of $87,000 is hereby appropriated to the <--
12 Trustees of the Berean Training and Industrial School for the
13 fiscal year July 1, 2006, to June 30, 2007, for payment of debt
14 services to the Commonwealth.
15 Section 2. Payments to the Berean Training and Industrial
16 School on account of the appropriations in section 1 shall be
17 made by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.
1 Section 3. The Berean Training and Industrial School shall
2 provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
3 required by the Department of Education or the chairman or the
4 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate
5 or the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
6 Committee of the House of Representatives.
7 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2006, or
8 immediately, whichever is later.
