AN ACT
1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, imposing community
3 service on certain offenders.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 9720.2. Sentencing community service for offenses which
9 result in suspension of driver's license or parking
10 ticket.
11 (a) Suspension of driver's license.--In addition to any
12 other penalties imposed by the court, the court shall impose 20
13 hours of community service upon a person who commits an offense
14 which results in the suspension of his driver's license.
15 (b) Parking ticket.--In addition to any other penalties
16 imposed by the court, the court shall impose five hours of
17 community service upon a person who fails to pay a parking
18 ticket in a timely manner.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
