AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for general requirements for
3 school buses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4552(d) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 4552. General requirements for school buses.

10 (d) Seating.--Adequate seating space of safe design and
11 construction with a minimum space of 18 inches shall be provided
12 for each passenger and no passenger shall be carried for which
13 adequate seating space is not available and used. Provisions
14 shall be made for sporting equipment and musical instruments for
15 those in fourth grade and above.

17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
