                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 4 (Amusements) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for corrupt organizations.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 1519 of Title 4 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes, added July 5, 2004 (P.L.572, No.71), is
     7  amended to read:
     8  § 1519.  [(Reserved).] Corrupt organizations.
     9     Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an act which is
    10  indictable under this part, or a conspiracy to commit any such
    11  act, shall be considered "racketeering activity" for purposes of
    12  18 Pa.C.S. § 911 (relating to corrupt organizations) and shall
    13  be subject to all of the provisions of 18 Pa.C.S. § 911. Any act
    14  which otherwise would be considered racketeering activity under
    15  18 Pa.C.S. § 911 by reason of the application of this section
    16  shall not be excluded from its application solely because the
    17  operative acts took place outside the jurisdiction of this


     1  Commonwealth if the acts were in violation of the law of the
     2  jurisdiction in which they occurred.
     3     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
