AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 27, 1852 (P.L.197, No.147), entitled,
2 "An act relative to the collection of taxes, in Crawford and
3 Lawrence counties; to authorize the Commissioners of Erie
4 county to borrow money; relative to a State road in Crawford
5 county; extending the time for the completion of the works of
6 the Centreville Water Company, and relative to Justices of
7 the Peace of Bedford county," further providing for the
8 collection of State and county taxes in Lawrence County.
9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
10 hereby enacts as follows:
11 Section 1. Section 1 of the act of March 27, 1852 (P.L.197,
12 No.147), entitled, "An act relative to the collection of taxes,
13 in Crawford and Lawrence counties; to authorize the
14 Commissioners of Erie county to borrow money; relative to a
15 State road in Crawford county; extending the time for the
16 completion of the works of the Centreville Water Company, and
17 relative to Justices of the Peace of Bedford county," is amended
18 to read:
19 Section 1. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of
20 Representatives of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in General
1 Assembly met, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the
2 same.[, That the provisions of the several sections, from the
3 first to the eleventh inclusive, of the act entitled "An Act to
4 reduce the expenses of collecting State and county taxes in the
5 county of Venango; to incorporate the Greenville and Ohio State
6 Line plank road company, and authorize the appointment of an
7 auctioneer in the county of Lawrence," passed the third of
8 April, Anno Domini, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-one,
9 be, and the same are hereby extended and made applicable to the
10 counties of Crawford and Lawrence, as fully and as effectually
11 as if the said counties of Crawford and Lawrence had been
12 originally mentioned in said recited act, where the county of
13 Venango now is.]
14 Section 2. This act shall apply to tax years beginning after
15 December 31, 2005.
16 Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
