AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the University of the Arts,
2 Philadelphia, for instruction and student aid.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $1,167,000 $1,173,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, for
7 the fiscal year July 1, 2005, to June 30, 2006, for instruction
8 and student aid.
9 Section 2. Payments to the University of the Arts on account
10 of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made by the
11 Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.
12 Section 3. The University of the Arts shall provide full,
13 complete and accurate information as may be required by the
14 Department of Education or the chairman or the minority chairman
15 of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the chairman or
16 the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the
1 House of Representatives. 2 Section 4. The University of the Arts shall report its 3 revenues and expenditures and present its financial statement in 4 accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and 5 procedures for educational institutions as set forth in the 6 "Higher Education Finance Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth 7 of Pennsylvania Budget Instructions for the State System of 8 Higher Education, State-Related Universities and Non-State- 9 Related Colleges and Universities." 10 Section 5. The Trustees of the University of the Arts of 11 Philadelphia shall report on forms provided by the Department of 12 Education to both the chairman and minority chairman of the 13 Appropriations Committee of the Senate and the chairman and the 14 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the House 15 of Representatives by September 30, 2006, on how State- 16 appropriated funds were expended for fiscal year 2005-2006 to 17 reduce the costs to Pennsylvania resident students or to provide 18 services to Pennsylvania residents. 19 Section 6.
