AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic
2 Medicine, Erie.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $1,789,000 $1,798,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine,
7 Erie, for the fiscal year July 1, 2005, to June 30, 2006, for
8 instruction in the Doctor of Osteopathy program.
9 Section 2. Payments to the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic
10 Medicine on account of the appropriation provided in section 1
11 shall be made quarterly by the Secretary of Education on the
12 basis of costs during the fiscal year.
13 Section 3. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
14 shall provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
15 required by the Department of Education or the chairman or the
16 minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate
1 or the chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations 2 Committee of the House of Representatives. 3 Section 4. The Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine 4 shall report its revenues and expenditures and present its 5 financial statements in accordance with generally accepted 6 accounting principles and procedures for educational 7 institutions as set forth in the "Higher Education Finance 8 Manual (1975)" and the "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Budget 9 Instructions for the State System of Higher Education, State- 10 Related Universities and Non-State-Related Colleges and 11 Universities." 12 Section 5. The Trustees of the Lake Erie College of 13 Osteopathic Medicine shall report on forms provided by the 14 Department of Education to both the chairman and minority 15 chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate and the 16 chairman and minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee 17 of the House of Representatives by September 30, 2006, on how 18 State-appropriated funds were expended for fiscal year 2005-2006 19 to reduce the costs to Pennsylvania resident students or to 20 provide services to Pennsylvania residents. 21 Section 6.
