AN ACT
1 Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for protection from
3 abuse proceedings.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6106 of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 6106. Commencement of proceedings.

10 (a.2) Effect on employment.--Notwithstanding any other
11 provision of law, absence from work to attend a required
12 proceeding leading to the issuance or enforcement of an order
13 under this chapter shall constitute no legal basis to terminate
14 or otherwise restrict or reduce the terms and conditions of
15 employment of a party or material witness.

17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
