                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the exclusion of veterans' disability payments as
     2     income in certain circumstances.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Short title.
     6     This act shall be known and may be cited as the Exclusion of
     7  Veterans' Disability Payments as Income Act.
     8  Section 2.  Veterans' disability payments.
     9     Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
    10  veterans' disability payments shall not be deemed income for
    11  purposes of determining eligibility under any of the following:
    12         (1)  Section 3(1) of the act of March 11, 1971 (P.L.104,
    13     No.3), known as the Senior Citizens Rebate and Assistance
    14     Act.
    15         (2)  The definition of "income" in section 502 of the act
    16     of August 26, 1971 (P.L.351, No.91), known as the State
    17     Lottery Law.

     1         (3)  75 Pa.C.S. § 1901(c)(16) (relating to exemption of
     2     persons, entities and vehicles from fees).
     3  Section 3.  Effective date.
     4     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
