                                     AN ACT

     1  Requiring the termination of a corrections officer or other
     2     employee of a correctional facility who delivers a controlled
     3     substance to an inmate of such facility.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6  Section 1.  Termination required.
     7     (a)  Conviction.--Any corrections officer or other employee
     8  of a corrections facility, prison or jail who is convicted of
     9  delivery of a controlled substance to an inmate of a corrections
    10  facility, prison or jail shall be permanently terminated from
    11  service as a corrections officer or other employee.
    12     (b)  Definition.--As used in this section, the term
    13  "controlled substance" shall have the meaning given to it in the
    14  act of April 14, 1972 (P.L.233, No.64), known as The Controlled
    15  Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.
    16  Section 2. Effective date.
    17     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
