A RESOLUTION
1 Honoring the Overbrook High School Mock Trial Team from
2 Philadelphia for outstanding achievement.
3 WHEREAS, The Overbrook High School Mock Trial Team, one of
4 268 teams in competition, captured the Pennsylvania Bar
5 Association Young Lawyers Division Statewide Mock Trial
6 Championship held in Harrisburg on March 27, 2004; and
7 WHEREAS, The only five-member team in competition, the team
8 includes Tionna Christopher, Christopher McFadden, LaJuan
9 Tucker, Dorian Nelson and Juanita Robinson, all seniors; and
10 WHEREAS, Faculty member Phillip Beauchemin and former team
11 members Tyrae Miller and Khadijah Scott coach the team; and
12 WHEREAS, In May 2004, the team is competing in the national
13 finals in Orlando, Florida; therefore be it
14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor Overbrook
15 High School Mock Trial Team members and advisors for their hard
1 work and notable record of achievement in local, regional and
2 State competition and offer best wishes as the team represents
3 Overbrook High School and this Commonwealth in the national
4 finals; and be it further
5 RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
6 the Overbrook High School Mock Trial Team c/o Overbrook High
7 School, 5898 Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131.
