A RESOLUTION 1 Recognizing and honoring Miss America 2003, Erika Harold, for 2 her inspirational commitment to service, academic excellence 3 and political ambition. 4 WHEREAS, Erika Harold is the national spokesperson for the 5 Teen Victim Project of the National Center for Victims of Crime; 6 and 7 WHEREAS, Miss Harold is the national spokesperson for Fight 8 Crime: Invest in Kids; and 9 WHEREAS, Miss Harold serves on the national board of 10 directors for the Center for Youth as Resources; and 11 WHEREAS, Miss Harold was a University of Illinois Chancellor 12 Scholar; and 13 WHEREAS, Miss Harold currently attends Harvard Law School; 14 and
1 WHEREAS, Miss Harold has ambitions to pursue a career in 2 public interest law and public policy; and 3 WHEREAS, Miss Harold hopes to convince the 23 states that do 4 not have legislation addressing bullying to adopt antiharassment 5 laws; therefore be it 6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize and 7 honor Erika Harold's inspirational commitment to service, 8 academic excellence and political ambition.
