A RESOLUTION
1 Celebrating the centennial anniversary of the Crayola brand of
2 crayons in 2003.
3 WHEREAS, The first box of Crayola brand crayons, including
4 eight colors, was introduced in 1903 and cost a nickel; and
5 WHEREAS, Since that time more than 120 billion Crayola brand
6 crayons have been sold; and
7 WHEREAS, Nearly three billion Crayola brand crayons are
8 produced annually in this Commonwealth; and
9 WHEREAS, Crayola is the third top-rated crayon brand for
10 quality in the world; therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives celebrate the
1 centennial anniversary of the Crayola brand of crayons in 2003,
2 which crayons have been produced in this Commonwealth for 100
3 years.
