A RESOLUTION 1 Designating May 2003 as "Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month" 2 in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, The safety of all Pennsylvania motorists is an issue 4 of enduring consequence; and 5 WHEREAS, Our Commonwealth's 750,000 licensed motorcycle 6 operators are required to keep their vehicles inspected and obey 7 laws relating to operator safety and equipment; and 8 WHEREAS, Motorcycle operators promote highway safety and 9 encourage other motor vehicle operators to recognize motorcycle 10 safety; and 11 WHEREAS, Throughout the month of May, the Pennsylvania
1 Motorcycle Safety Program, Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward 2 Education of Pennsylvania (ABATE), and the Pennsylvania 3 Motorcycle Dealers Association (PMDA) are continuing their 4 advocacy of motorcycle safety; therefore be it 5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize May 6 2003 as "Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month" in Pennsylvania.
