A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing the week of January 19 through 24, 2003, as
2 "National Activity Professionals Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Activity professionals work with health care
4 professionals and other individuals to enhance the lives of
5 elderly persons in nursing homes, senior and retirement centers
6 and assisted living programs; and
7 WHEREAS, Activity professionals assist in providing
8 individualized programs to stimulate the mental and physical
9 well-being of elderly persons and to help them maintain life
10 skills; and
11 WHEREAS, While contributing greatly to the quality of life of
12 elderly persons, activity professionals are not widely
13 recognized; therefore be it
14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
1 week of January 19 through 24, 2003, as "National Activity
2 Professionals Week" in Pennsylvania.
