        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, MARCH 16, 2004

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating the intersection of Routes 68 and 38 at the Route
     2     422 Interchange in Butler County as the Charlotte Niggel
     3     Interchange.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6  Section 1.  Charlotte Niggel Interchange.
     7     (a)  Findings.--Charlotte Niggel was the president of the
     8  Butler County Safety Council for many years and fought for
     9  safety projects within the county to benefit all citizens.
    10     (b)  Designation authorized.--The intersection of Routes 68
    11  and 38 at the Route 422 Interchange in Butler County is
    12  designated as the Charlotte Niggel Interchange.
    13     (c)  Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
    14  appropriate signs at each end of the interchange displaying the
    15  designation made by this section.
    16  Section 2.  Effective date.
    17     This act shall take effect in 60 days.
