AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for speed cameras in first class cities.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
6 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
7 § 6130. Speed cameras.
8 (a) Installation of speed cameras.--The department shall
9 install speed cameras in all 15 m.p.h. school zones in first
10 class cities, including zones located at high schools.
11 (b) Disposition of fines.--All fines collected through use
12 of speed cameras shall be deposited into a fund established in
13 the General Fund and used for payment of school crossing guards
14 at all elementary schools in first class cities.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
